Mrs. Sue Howell

Welcome! My name is Sue Howell and I have enjoyed teaching in Grafton since September 1999, after moving to Grafton with my husband and two daughters in 1997. Before that time, I spent many years in the business world. I am currently working as a reading specialist in grades 2, 3, and 4 at the North Street School. I earned my B.A. in Communications at Adelphi University in New York, received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College in Boston, and continued my education at The Reading Institute in Williamstown, MA. My certifications include Elementary 1-6, ELA 5-8, and Reading Specialist K-12.

My students continually surprise me and are a joy to learn with! It is so important to me that my students learn to read well so that they can be life-long learners, be successful in their future careers, and enjoy reading in their leisure time.

I love visiting with my grand-puppy Roxy, and enjoy reading, taking walks in Grafton, and hiking in the mountains with my family.
